Half of our planet was covered in vegetation ten thousand years ago but nowadays only two-thirds remains. The chair is form with resin components assembled via Mortise and Tenon joint, referencing our traditional carpentry and the need to preserve our natural resources.
* 孤根 is the Chinese name for The Stalk Chair, which literally means single stalk

With wood as one of the component of the chair, being a natural material, every piece will appear slightly different in finish either in colour or pattern of wood.
